When i was a wingless bird

When my musings went unheard

When i had no place left to hide

You always stood by my side.

When lights fade and darkness swept

You extended your helping hand

You gave me love and helped me stand.

When warmth fades and gloom descends

When hopes seem to meet their end

You walk with me on sands of time

And my fears into oblivion sublime.
